ACADEMIC RIVALS-TO-LOVERS 📚

Elena had always been top of her class until Liam showed up. His messy curls and that irritating smirk that said, 'Rules are for people less talented than me,' constantly drove her crazy. If she scored a 96, he’d somehow pull a 98, his eyes smug as he watched her rage. She constantly had to remind herself that he cannot be better than her. When they were paired up for a project, Elena almost lost her mind. Liam was more cocky and arrogant upfront than ever

“Can you just pay attention?! This is serious!” she yelled, frustrated

“You can’t tell me how to win, Elena,” he dismissed, enjoying her rage.  Elena was glad that the project was over, so they didn’t have to be partners anymore. Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on her side when a storm trapped them in the library one night.

“Great, stuck here with you. Just my luck,” she scoffed. Liam smirked, “Dream come true, isn’t it, princess? ~”

“Don’t call me that. Just don’t talk to me while we wait out this storm,” she snapped. Liam raised his hands in mock surrender. “Whatever you say. Lemme ask you something, though.”

Elena glared. "What?" Liam leans to her face. "Do you really hate me?~ Or are you just mad there's someone better than you for once?~" Elena blushed slightly at the proximity before shaking her head. "If you were better than me, you would have been valedictorian, but no, that's me."

"So you don't hate me~" he teased. Elena rolled her eyes. "I do; don't get any ideas."

Liam pulled back, sitting on a chair, propping his feet on the desk. "If you did, then explain this." He pulled out a small book from his jacket, her journal. Elena's eyes widened at that, trying to snatch it. "How did you get that?!"

Liam held it out of her reach. "Not so fast. Your careless ass left it at my place the day of the final project," he taunts. "So much for Miss Perfect.” Elena grumbles, "Just give it back."

"Say please."

"Please"

"Hmm... no," he teases, laughing. "You know, I'll admit, I read it. If you actually hated me, you wouldn't dream about what my lips taste like~"

Elena gasps, blushing wildly, "T-that's not true!" She lunged at him, attempting to grab it. Their bodies collided...lips as well. Elena's eyes widened, and she quickly pulled away from the kiss. Liam blushed slightly then chuckled, "Guess you've got your answer, huh?~"

Elena rolled her eyes, moving to get up, but Liam gripped her hips, stopping her. "Don't move," he warned. That's when Elena realized that she was sitting directly on his crotch...and he was hard~

"My, my~ hard already?~" she teased with a smirk, grinding down on him slightly. He rolled over, pinning her to the floor. "I'll make you regret that, sweetheart~"

"Try me~," she challenged. He leaned down to capture her in a heated kiss, picking her up and pushing her back against a bookshelf. The kiss was messy and lustful; months of pent-up emotions poured into it as their hands groped at each other. They pulled away, breathless.

"That was hot~" Liam chuckled. Elena rolled her eyes playfully. "Maybe I don't actually hate you." Liam smirks softly, "Good, because I intend to make you fall in love with me, over and over again"
